Event Rules

  • All hackathon projects can only be worked on during the specified hacking period (open-source libraries and APIs can be used)
  • Teams may have a maximum of 4 members, but a team is not required to participate
  • Visit our #rules channel on our Discord server for Discord-specific rules
  • These rules are subject to change at any time before the event!

Code of Conduct

Please review our Code of Conduct in full--via registration to our hackathon, you are agreeing to abide by and uphold the Code of Conduct through the duration of the event. Our hackathon is dedicated to providing a safe and comfortable environment and harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of the following:
  • gender
  • gender identity and expression
  • age
  • sexual orientation
  • disability
  • physical appearance
  • body size
  • race
  • ethnicity
  • nationality
  • religion
  • political views
  • previous hackathon attendance or lack of
  • computing experience or lack of
  • chosen programming language or tech stack
We do not tolerate harassment of hackathon participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate at any hackathon venue, this includes the following:
  • hacks
  • talks, presentations, or demos
  • workshops
  • any parties associated to the hackathon
  • social media
  • any other online media
Hackathon participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the hackathon at the discretion of the hackathon organisers. If you or someone you know observed or has been subject to a violation of the Code, please reach out to the organisers, either in-person, through Discord, or at team@pioneerhacks.org
